(68) Shang Chi: Kung Fu Grip on the 70s

This week Scott and I are talking about Special Marvel Edition #15 and #16, the two 1973 issues that introduced Shang Chi before the series became Master of Kung Fu with issue #17 in 1974. Writer Steve Englehart and artist Jim Starlin dreamed up this martial arts hero during the kung fu craze of the era. There's a lot packed into these early issues, from his father's shadow, his brother’s shadow, to the mission that sets everything in motion.
